More Than Wishes

Ruth Milos has only three wishes in life, to become head park ranger, to win the heart of her secret crush, Caleb Stolz, and to have a pet dragon. As far-fetched as those seem to the bookish Ruth, she lands her dream job at Beaver River State Park, nestled among the suburbs of Atlanta. 

Jumping into her new role with both feet, Ruth is determined to transform the sprawling acreage into the best hiking trails in the South. Two days into the job, strange things start happening. Fires are popping up everywhere, her coworkers are fighting, and she discovers that Caleb can hear her thoughts. 

Worried she doesn’t have what it takes to be in charge, Ruth sings show tunes to keep her true feelings hidden as she hunts for the source of the fires. That’s when a winged creature appears. But the flying lizard doesn’t cause nearly as much trouble as her new hire, who has a knack for showing up in the oddest places just when her wishes start coming true. 

When the mysterious fires draw the attention of Ruth’s supervisor and the local fire chief, both her job and any hope of a relationship with Caleb are threatened. Suddenly, Ruth must track down the elusive dragon and save the park, but it may not be enough to salvage her career or love life.
